Thorpe Langley Auditorium at UWS, Superior, WI
The Northshore Philharmonic Orchestra joins forces with students from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and the College of St. Scholastica for a special fall collaboration on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at Thorpe Langley Auditorium, UWS, Superior, WI.
This concert marks an exciting milestone for the NSPO, which traditionally performs only in June and July. In response to member enthusiasm for year-round performances, the orchestra is expanding its season—and for the first time, string players from the Northshore Philharmonic Orchestra will join this collaborative performance.
The program features:
- Carl Nielsen’s Little Suite — charming and lyrical
- Felix Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia in D Minor — youthful brilliance
- J. S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 — featuring soloists Melanie Sever (flute), Jessica Schroeder (harpsichord), and J. David Arnott (violin)
- John Rutter’s Suite Antica — featuring Alexander Sandor (harpsichord)
- Miss Drummond of Perth’s Favorite Scots Measure (Traditional) — a lively Scottish dance
Soloists include UWS faculty members Melanie Sever (flute), Alexander Sandor (harpsichord), and J. David Arnott (violin), along with CSS faculty member Jessica Schroeder (harpsichord).
